Starting wage is dependent on previous experience/skillset & required training.
A condensed job description includes the following:
Work together with other saw personnel to unload bunks of lumber, as they are delivered Sort and inspect lumber to make sure it is suitable for building trusses:
Selecting lumber to be cut will require patience as you will have to learn over time what lumber meets our expectations & the requirements for truss building.
Must be willing to expect & accept a certain amount of inaccuracy as this is a skillset that is built overtime as you encounter various flaws & defects in the lumber.
Collect lumber as needed, per job order.
This portion of work is done outside in the lumber yard.
Must be willing to work in inclement weather.
We strive to organize the picking of lumber to reduce the amount of time spent outside during these times but it is inevitable.
IF this is NOT something you tolerate well, this position is not for you.
Retrieve, measure for accuracy, and stack finished lumber as it is passed through the saw Ability (or willingness to learn) to use a chop saw to hand cut smaller angles on boards that our large, automated saw does not.
Transport cut lumber into the jig building to be assembled Currently reviewing options for health/dental plans & reimbursement options for plans purchased individually within the marketplace Job Type:
